Q: How do I cancel my reservation?

A: If you booked directly on our website, please forward us your reservation confirmation email asking us to cancel and we’ll do the rest.

If you booked externally (with Booking.com for example), please follow the instructions in your confirmation email to cancel. We cannot cancel for you.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Cancellations over 48hours before arrival can be made without penalty and any deposit paid will be returned. Cancellations made 0-48 hours prior to arrival will be charged a penalty of one night’s stay.

For group bookings, please see the terms and conditions outlined in the contract provided to you when you booked your stay.

Q: A group of us is thinking of staying with you. Can you accommodate us?

A: Please email us with the size of your group, dates, phone number, and time that you would like us to call you back. We’ll then call you back to figure out how we can help you.

Q: What do I need to check-in? Can I pay cash?

A: We require a valid credit card with your name on it and matching ID. We process a deposit of one night’s stay on the credit card but you can pay the balance in cash.

Q: Can workers stay at the Hostel?

A: We are an intervational traveller’s hostel and generally don’t accommodate locals or workers. Please email us well in advance to inquire.

Q: Can I make a reservation by email?

A: No. Reservations need to be made directly on this website. We require a valid credit card in order to hold your bed or room.

Q: I want to work/volunteer with you? How do I apply?

A: Awesome! We’re always looking for the right people to help make the Squastel as great as it can be. Please email us at hr@squamishhostel.com with your resume, start date, and the position you are interested in, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Q: Do I need to bring my own pillow / blanket / towel / soap?

A: If you are staying in a Super Private, you will be provided with soap and towels and everything else that is standard with a hotel.

All other rooms (dorms and privates with shared baths) are hostel-style. This means that sheets and pillows are provided but towels and soap are not. And if you're staying in a dorm, remember to bring a lock for the locker in your room.

Q: Can I stay with you guys long term for a discounted rate?

A: Guests are allowed to stay for a maximum of 28 consecutive nights and we do have longer term stays in our slow season from December to May. Please email us for more information.

For those looking to work at the hostel, long term accommodation of over one month is also available.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Unfortunately not.

Q: Do you have secure storage for my gear / sporting equipment?

A: Yes! We have a complimentary large communal locker for bikes and skateboards and also have a number of secure lockers that can be rented on a first come first served basis. $2/day for small ski/board lockers and $5/day for large private bike/crash pad/gear lockers. Sporting equipment is not allowed in the rooms; violators will be asked to leave.

We also rent out lockers to those of you going on overnight hikes and looking to leave valuables and bulky items behind.

Q: How do I get to Squamish Adventure Inn?

A: Our address is 38220 Highway 99, Squamish BC, V8B 0A5.
If you have any difficulty finding us, call us at 604-892-9240. Check-in is from 4-10pm. If you might be arriving later than this, please coordinate with us beforehand.


Driving From Vancouver (1 hour):

  • Get on Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99) and head north towards Squamish and Whistler.
  • After about 40 minutes you will be approaching the centre of Squamish.
  • As you enter Squamish on the highway, you will cross a small bridge. At this point our building and our highway sign should be easily visible directly on your right.
  • Turn right at the next lights, the intersection for Cleveland Ave. / Loggers Lane where you will see a McDonalds across the intersection to your left.
  • Take an immediate and hard right to go up the road that runs parallel to the highway, heading South.
  • Following this road for less than 200 meters, you will arrive. Park in whichever spot is available
Driving from Whistler (45 minutes):
  • Get onto the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99) and head south towards Squamish and Vancouver.
  • After about 40 minutes, you will enter Squamish and see developments, stores, and restaurants on the side of the highway.
  • Continue through Squamish, about 5 minutes, until you see a rock sign for Downtown Squamish on the right of the highway. You will then see a 7-11 and a McDonalds on the right as well.
  • Get in the left-hand lane and turn left at lights of the intersection of Cleveland Ave. / Loggers Lane (where McDonalds is directly on your right)
  • Take an immediate and sharp right to go up the road that runs parallel to the highway, heading South
  • Following this road for less than 200 meters, you will arrive. Park in whichever spot is available
