Saltwater, freshwater, guided or remote, Squamish offers it all for those interested in fishing. Thanks to the salty waters of Howe Sound and the area's surrounding freshwater rivers and lakes the wide variety of angling options will keep the most avid angler busy.
The Mamquam, Cheakamus, Squamish and Elaho rivers run thick with four varieties of Pacific Salmon as well as Bull Trout and Cutthroat Trout.
Rainbow Trout is stocked regularly in the spring and fall at Brohm Lake and Murrin Provincial Park’s Browning Lake where you will also find a natural supply of Cutthroat Trout.
